When David Hertl and his brewery Hertl GmbH & Co. KG took over the beer production for the former Eichhorn brewery from Forchheim, the continuation of the Eichhorn tradition was particularly important to him. With the help of the former master brewer Kunner Greif and the recipes passed down from generation to generation, he brews the popular specialties from the Eichhorn house one-to-one. He is thus continuing the brewing activities of the smallest brewery in Forchheim without any gaps, even though the historic brewery in the city center had to close its doors.
