Basically, the story of the Hösl brewery from Mitterteich is a love story: Michael, the brewery’s founding father, actually wanted to move to America and brew beer there with his brother. But love got in the way: When Michael met Margarete, he forgot all thirst for adventure. Instead, the two made their love official and moved to Mitterteich. With the dowry that was still common at the time, Michael and Margarete bought a brewery and thus laid the foundation for today’s Hösl Bräu.
What luck, because if Michael hadn’t met Margarete, we probably wouldn’t be able to offer you any of the excellent Hösl beers today!
A favorite in the wide range is, for example, “My Helles”. The Bavarian classic impresses with its tangy freshness and is extremely tasty. The fine aroma is due to the handpicked raw materials and the crystal clear brewing water. The malt is made from Bavarian summer brewing barley and is characterized by its soft sweetness and strong taste. The aroma hops come from the Hallertau and contribute to the beer its freshness and fine tartness. Long storage perfects the lightness and rounds off the taste nuances to a balanced play of aromas.
