The Bamberg Brewery Keesmann is one of the long-established breweries in the cathedral city and has been a highly frequented meeting point for Bamberg residents and their guests for more than 150 years. The brewery is located in the Wunderburg district and offers its customers a traditional range: the Herren-Pils beer is one of the most popular beers from the brewery, but the light beer, wheat beer and seasonal specialties are also very popular.
The literal gold boy in the illustrious selection is the Keesmann Gold. The subtly balanced export beer is made with exquisite caramel malts and a handful of restrained hops and flows into the glass in crystal-clear gold with a copper shimmer. A fine-pored ivory foam crown is enthroned on the golden drink and exudes an enticing scent of toffee, sun-ripened grain and delicate hops. The initial taste is wonderfully mild and ensnares the tongue with gentle carbonic acid. The taste is made up of soft caramel notes, robust malt, freshly baked bread and fresh hops. Strong spiciness, velvety sweetness and hoppy freshness form a skilful balance that makes Keesmann Gold a tasty treat for the palate.
The Bamberg beer goes perfectly with hearty Franconian cuisine: Bratwurst, Schäuferla, sausage with music, Limburger or a simple sandwich with butter complement the spicy creation excellently.
Enjoy!
