Green hops are the latest trend in the beer business. In order to get the maximum hop flavor, the hops are not dried first but processed directly while they are still fresh. Freshly harvested, so to speak, the hops are transported from the field directly to the brewery, where they are processed into the most delicious beer while still green and crisp.
The traditional Schönramer brewery also has a beer with fresh hops in its range: their Grünhopfenpils. The light beer is bursting with hoppy excellence and brings out the full power of the hops wonderfully. Since the hops are only ready to harvest at a certain time of the year, the green hop pilsner is only available seasonally. Every year from November onwards the time has come and the fresh Pils can be enjoyed as long as supplies last.
The green hop pilsner from Schönramer flows into the glass in a crystal clear straw yellow and shines in all facets of gold. A small, white foam crowns the magnificent beer and at the same time exudes a tempting scent of blooming summer flower meadows, spicy conifer resin and tangy lemon. The initial taste tingles on the tongue and lets the aromas dance: the hops make a fruity debut. Dark wild berries mix with fine kirsch on the palate to create a fruity revelation. A refreshing hint of peppermint cleverly rounds off the aromatics. The finish is surprisingly dry and scores with a citrus-fresh kiss.
