Anyone who thinks that wheat is just wheat doesn’t know Schorschbräu!
The Franconian brewery has specialized in the production of full-bodied beers and offers its illustrious clientele a range that ranges between 13 and 56 percent alcohol content. Some of the strongest beers in the world come from Schorsch Tscheuschner, including what he claims to be the strongest wheat beer on earth.
The Schorschweizen brings an incredible 15.0% to the table and expands the definition of the term wheat beer to an extent that we did not think possible. It expands the classic range of flavors of the style and takes it to a new culinary level. The powerful brew flows into the glass in the darkest shade of mahogany and exudes a tempting olfactory potpourri made up of notes of banana bread, dried fruit and fine chocolate. The taste-forming follows this opening one-to-one and presents you with ripe banana, candied cherries, spicy yeast, sweet honey, a touch of roasted malt and delicately melting dark chocolate. The alcohol content contributes a gentle rum note and a fiery warmth and makes the beer the ideal candidate for storage: Over time, the brew gains depth and, according to the master brewer, develops hints of port wine and sherry.
In order for the aromas to fully develop, you should enjoy this beer at a temperature of around 15 degrees.
