In order to give its powerful creations the right appearance, Schorschbräu has been bottling bottles with a stoneware look and a wax seal for some time now. At 13 to 57 percent, the Franconian brewery’s brews have a significantly higher alcohol content than most beers in the world and the new design impressively represents the significance of these works of art.
One of these elegant bottles contains the Schorsch Blonde 14% Imperial Brut Ale. This brew combines the expressive character of Imperial Ale with the elegant lightness and liveliness of a classic Brut. The fruity playfulness is achieved with the use of sparkling wine yeast and cold hopping with the Hallertauer Blanc variety, while a strong bock beer recipe forms the basis.
The blonde beauty penned by Schorsch Tscheuschner presents itself in the glass in a honey-gold glowing amber orange and exudes a scent that is reminiscent of sparkling or white wine. A touch of malt and a pinch of green hops create interesting undertones and tempt you to take the first sip. The initial taste reveals a fantastic interplay of aromas that skilfully combines components of dry white wine, fruity acidity, hints of hops and soft grain notes into a drinkable whole. The whopping 14.0% is masterfully integrated into the overall picture and delivers a pleasant warmth that spreads into body and soul after just a few sips.
