Usually the Italian exclamation "Bella Donna" stands for a beautiful woman. The brewers of the Munich Brew Mafia borrowed the term and dedicated a beer to it that is at least as beautiful as a woman and also enchants with a wonderful bouquet of aromatic hops.
Bella Donna is a Double Dry Hopped New England IPA with a hefty 6.5% alcohol content, which is stuffed with the hops Citra BBC and Galaxy. The bitter beauty scores with full-bodied aromas, a tempting appearance and a fragrance that clouds your senses.
When you open the bottle, a bewitching scent of tropical fruits rises into the nose, which combines with tangy citrus notes, playful elderflower and a hint of pear to create an irresistible mixture. Bella Donne is visually appealing with a maroon robe and a fleeting veil of white foam. The initial taste reveals a juicy IPA that is fruity and fresh. Notes of pineapple, passion fruit and nectarine combine with the aroma of ripe pears to create a true fruit explosion.
