Are you up for Christmas? We recommend a buck for Christmas!
Bock beer is a particularly festive style of beer that is traditionally brewed on special occasions. Lent is ushered in with a Bock beer, the May dance is accompanied by the Maibock and, of course, a Bock should not be missing in the cold winter season. The powerful strong beer tastes particularly good at Christmas and we are by no means the only ones. Many traditional breweries have a Christmas or winter beer in their assortment, in Franconia that is often a big buck.
This is also the case with the Zehendner brewery from Mönchsambach in Franconia. Your Christmas Bock is a substantial festival beer with a whopping 7.0% alcohol content and an inviting character. The neat beer is presented in a warm honey tone in the glass and has a small crown of creamy, snow-white foam on the delicately clouded body. On the nose, sweet malt mixes with floral hops, spicy honey, tangy citrus notes and a hint of grass. The initial taste is silky smooth and dangerously tasty. An aromatic fullness of malt caresses the taste buds and provides an aroma that is peppered with notes of oven-fresh bread crust, caramel, vanilla, fruity hops, herbs and orange peel. The Mönchsambacher Christmas buck is a deep beer specialty that is full-bodied, tasty and balanced.
