Fear.Movie.Lions sounds like a cool movie title or like a secret code that gives you access to a hidden underground society. Contrary to these plausible theories, Fear.Movie.Lions is something completely different: It is a fabulous double IPA from Stone and at the same time a place in this brewery.
How it works? Fear.Movie.Lions is a combination of words that describes a 9 square meter spot in the heart of the brewery on the American east coast. Stone Brewings beer pays homage to what3words location coding system. The digital map covers the world in squares of three by three meters, each square bears a name made up of three words instead of a long row of coordinates or numbers. The new system should help to make address information more specific. Street names and house numbers are often not enough to accurately describe a place and outside the city it is even more difficult to find a specific place. With what3words you can easily find any place in the world with three simple words, whether it has a house number or not.
In the middle of the Stone Brewery in Richmond is a square called Fear.Movie.Lions - a great name for a beer! And the beer is fantastic too: Fear.Movie.Lions is an incomparably juicy IPA with crunchy bitterness and great notes of strawberries, blueberries, grapes and a hint of sage.
