Fred is the Franconian in the international range of brewing craftsmen. When brewing their beers, Frank and Amy are very enthusiastic about their very personal roots and places of origin and are inspired by the individual characteristics of these. Fred is a Freiburg Red Lager and was created based on the example of the delicious Franconian red beers. The aim was to brew a drinkable beer with a pronounced malt character and fine sweetness. A real Franconian classic.
And they definitely succeeded! Fred is a blast. The tasty red has a whole range of full-bodied malt nuances in its repertoire and turns our heads with fine spice, fresh fruitiness, wonderful tartness and a touch of pepper.
Fred appears in a magnificent chestnut red in the glass and shimmers copper when the light falls. A slightly tinted head of foam sits enthroned on the beer and exudes a fine, malty fragrance. In the nose, a fruity berry aroma meets roasted malt and a tantalizing toffee note. The initial taste presents a taste pattern that follows the olfactory first impression: strong malt caresses the tongue, the hops bring an earthy note into play. Subtly sweet and fruity, the aromas of ripe berries join in and mix up the malty composition fresh and light-footed. A fine herbal note skilfully rounds off the play of aromas.
