The Blech-Brut brewery from Bamberg is always looking for ways to take its beer specialties to the next taste level. The brewers are not afraid to use unimaginably large quantities of hops and there is no other way that is too far for them to generate the perfect enjoyment experience for you. As in all industries, time is money in the beer business, which is why we appreciate the decision to age beer in wooden barrels all the more. Barrel storage is a time-consuming affair and costs brewers not only patience, but also hard cash.
Nevertheless, Blech.Brut didn't miss out on creating a barrel-aged beer and is presenting you with a real treat with their light beer in the Oak Aged version. After the brewing process was completed, the bottom-fermented full beer was stored on American oak wood logs with an exquisite vanilla aroma.
The result of the maturation process is a naturally cloudy beer in a cloudy straw gold. From the airy, coarse-pored crown, a spicy scent of warm spices, wood and hops rises to the nose. The initial taste reveals a profound character with woody notes, earthy notes and a hint of bourbon flavor. The juicy hop notes underline the overall concept of the light with deep oak notes and vanilla, a dry bitterness completes the drinkable work of art.
