Life is brewtiful.
The young Mainz label Schwarze Rose only started brewing beers on a large brewing system in March 2019. The beer is brewed in the hallowed halls of the Kuehn Kunz Rosen brewery, which is already making us fans of the newly hatched Black Rose brewery. So far, the guys have two beers in their range that delight us with both their creative, hip design and their delicately composed taste.
An excellent West Coast IPA is hidden behind a geometrically designed label in the colors blue, ochre, orange, beige and white. Black Rose's debut is a really well-done India Pale Ale, which, typically West Coast, has a fruity, fresh palette of juicy fruit. Three American aromatic hop varieties were allowed to go into the kettle and unfold their full magic there. Together, Mosaic, Ekuanot and Vic Secret create a play of aromas of fruity excellence.
Brewtiful presents itself in the sunny yellow color of ripe ears and forms a white head of foam that creates a beautiful contrast to the golden beer. A refreshing bouquet of juicy tropical fruits fills your nose when you open the bottle and makes you want to take your first sip. This reveals an exotic, fruity, crisp beer that tastes wonderfully of mango, pineapple, passion fruit, melon and papaya. The fruit cocktail results in a wonderfully hoppy finish that wonderfully complements the tangy fruit sweetness.
