Fight or flight is a decision our mind makes whenever we are faced with a stressful or potentially dangerous event. Within a split second, our brain weighs the situation and decides whether we are able to deal with it or not. It puts the body into combat readiness with a rush of adrenaline when the assessment of its own superiority is positive, otherwise it gives us the signal to flee.
A situation that hopefully won't make you decide to fight or flee is the Double India Pale Ale Escape. The beer from the Black Rose house has the escape in its name, but it is of a rather tempting nature. The powerful DIPA builds its beguiling character on a handful of extraordinary ingredients: the grain combo includes Pilsner malt and malt made from wheat and husks. The yeast used comes from the Conan culture and is known for emphasizing the fruity components of the hops. In addition, the beer was dry-hopped with the varieties Sabro, Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo, which results in an extra-juicy aroma. The brewers affectionately call their work "juicy sipper" and describe the extremely drinkable type of beer absolutely aptly.
