The dark porter provides the international flair in the range of the Autenrieder Schlossbräus. The beer style comes from Great Britain and, with its powerful and substantial character, used to ensure that the dock workers were able to work motivated even in winter. Fortunately, today you no longer have to work hard to enjoy the dark beer.
The Schlossbräu Porter is brewed with intensely roasted malt, which, among other things, creates the strong, dark brown color. On the opaque, mahogany-colored body sits a hazelnut-brown head of foam, which smells of dark chocolate and freshly roasted coffee beans. The initial taste is velvety-soft and caresses the palate with wonderful toasted notes and beautiful sweetness. The aroma of dark chocolate melts on the tongue and combines with notes of caramel, mocha and roasted grain to create a heavenly mixture. The powerful 6.8% alcohol content is integrated into the diverse flavors and also ensures a cozy warmth.
Thanks to its balanced balance of soft sweetness and strong roasted notes, the Schlossbräu Porter goes well with desserts as well as hearty game dishes. We recommend a spicy goulash with deer on hand-scraped spaetzle, then homemade waffles with vanilla ice cream and hot cherries and a well-tempered porter.
