The Black Baron is neither a ghost in a gloomy castle nor a dark-clad superhero, but a beer in the wide range of the Autenrieder brewery.
A strong goat should not be missing in any well-stocked offer, the brewers from Autenried know that too. The Black Baron is a dark Doppelbock and represents the strong beers at the Autenried brewery. The powerful beer scores with a high original wort content and an aromatic character, which is characterized by a lot of tasty roasted malt. The impressive 7.7% alcohol content is skilfully integrated into the taste and provides a cozy warmth that warms body and soul.
The Black Baron flows into the glass in deep dark mahogany and crowns itself with a good amount of dense, slightly tinted foam. An irresistible scent of brown sugar, dried, red fruits and black bread from the stone oven rises from the creamy crown and tempts you to take the first sip. The first taste reveals a voluminous body with a cornucopia of fine roasted aromas. Toasted malt meets smoky wood, candied fruit, caramel and oven-fresh bread on the palate. A touch of melt-in-the-mouth chocolate, the aroma of raisins and a clear hop bitterness round off the taste experience.
The dark Doppelbock from the Autenried Castle brewery unfolds its full aroma at a drinking temperature of twelve to fourteen degrees.
