The limited edition Schlossbräu Edelbock has fully earned its name.
In addition to exclusive ingredients, the Autenrieder brewery uses a gentle brewing process for the Schlossbräu Edelbock and gives the beer plenty of time to mature long enough afterwards.
The special list of ingredients for the Schlossbräu Edelbock includes soft brewing water, summer barley malt from the Autenrieder brewery’s own cultivation. During the particularly gentle brewing process, the two hop varieties Hallertau Tradition and Saphir are skilfully introduced. After the Schlossbräu Edelbock has been stored for 14 days (the average storage of such a Bock beer is 7 days), the Schlossbräu Edelbock is allowed to mature for another 60 days in the brewery cellar. He is cold hopped. The hop variety added is the Hallertau Blanc hop variety. This variety is known for its long-lasting, floral aroma and the notes of a white wine bouquet and is only grown on a very small scale. The intensive manual work that goes into the Schlossbräu Edelbock is also based entirely on the name of the beer noble. During the brewing process, the resulting foam layer is skimmed off by hand twice a day. Hop resins and unwanted bitter substances are removed in order to further refine the aroma. At the Schlossbräu Edelbock, the yeast that has settled in the storage cellar is removed by hand every day. From the effort put into it and the exclusivity of the ingredients, the Schlossbräu Edelbock is almost reminiscent of a drink from Champagne.
The name says it all with the flavor of the Schlossbräu Edelbock. The brightly shining goat with its snow-white foam already impresses with its smell of gooseberries and white grapes, for which the Hallertau Blanc hop variety is known. The aroma of the Schlossbräu Edelbock follows on from the smell with its initial taste, fruity with a subtle bitterness. The mouthfeel is particularly velvety due to the well-integrated carbon dioxide. A fine wine through and through.
