Cassettes are a relic of long forgotten days. Nowadays music comes from the internet, nobody cares anymore about the notorious tape salad or cassettes that have not been rewound properly or get stuck in the car. It’s a shame, because mix tapes with handpicked pieces of music, self-written labels and music recorded from the radio definitely had charm. The glove compartment of every car had a variety of music, and many of them had at least one cassette of weird trash metal. At full volume and with the windows open, this music created the best atmosphere.

The guys from True Brew conjure up the era of Trash Metal cassettes and have created a beer that goes perfectly with it. Trash Metal Cassette is a Black IPA with a strong (and thematically coordinated) 6.66% alcohol content. The devilish percentages are skillfully integrated into the flavor of the intense fruit and roasted notes.

As expected, the Black IPA flows into the glass in a dark shade and has a stately crown of dense, hazelnut-brown foam on the mahogany-colored body. The traditional aroma of an IPA (citrus fruit, tropical fruit, pine resin) is joined by a touch of roasted malt, which really makes you excited about the first sip. The initial taste reveals an unusual IPA with a skilful balance of dark fruits, citrus fruits, roasted malt, coffee notes and strong bitterness. The creamy consistency makes this unconventional DIPA an absolute delight!
