Under the protection of the rearing unicorn in their coat of arms, the Molter brewery team from Irchenrieth in Upper Palatinate brews the finest organic beers. In order to focus on the traditional brewing craft, the exquisite raw materials and good taste, the brewers decided on a more minimalist concept when naming their plants. Instead of choosing humorous, provocative or flowery titles, they simply numbered their beers according to the time of release. Sud 1 opened the range, today the series has seven parts that cover some classics of Bavarian brewing.
Sud 1 is an organic light wine that flows naturally cloudy into the glass and is flavored with a delicate hint of hops. The finely cloudy beer presents itself in a bright old gold and is decorated with a mixed-pored crown of white foam. A subtle copper sheen pervades the beer when light hits it. If you hold your nose over the glass, sweet notes of toffee and a hint of floral hops are noticeable. When drunk, the first impression takes shape and nestles on the palate with the aroma of delicately melting caramel, light grain tones and playful hop notes. Fruity citrus fruit rounds off the enjoyment experience harmoniously and provides great freshness.
Molters Sud 1 has 4.9% alcohol content and a round, drinkable character.
