Like many breweries, the American Coronado Brewing Company has a series in which its brewers have a free hand. Far away from the restrictions of the core range, the team can let off steam to their heart's content and experiment with brewing styles, techniques, hop varieties and other raw materials. The series is called The Farm Series and so far has mainly included beers flavored with freshly harvested fruit. Hailing from sunny California, the brewery is surrounded by a climate that produces the finest tropical fruit. The brewers can draw on unlimited resources and refine their beer with the pure power of the sun.
The men and women behind the cauldron chose the pineapple for the newest example in the category. Hardly any other fruit brings as much holiday flair as it does, which is why the golden fruit goes perfectly with the island beer. Because a brew can't just consist of pineapple, the brewers have combined it with a handpicked selection of modern hop varieties, light malt, lactose and a flavorful yeast.
Pineapple Farm combines the sunny aroma of pineapple with a luxuriously creamy mouthfeel, fruity sweetness, pink grapefruit and resinous pine needles. The bitterness has been wonderfully adapted to the sweetness of the tropical fruit and provides contrast and freshness. Fruit enjoyment without peeling - that's how we like it best!
