The Jackalope brewery chose a legendary band from Palo Alto, California, as the inspiration for its West Coast IPA and created a beer that is based on one of their most famous songs. As we listen, we go into the eerie depths of the forest that bears the name Fennario for some exciting moments. Eerie figures roam around in the dark thicket, the most frightening of them being the wolf. The long, hard winter has worn him out and he looks for his next prey with a growling stomach. Once he has picked up the scent, there is no longer any hope for his victim. The musicians packaged this spooky story in gentle sounds, creating the perfect setting for relaxed beer enjoyment.
Fennario brings an impressive 7.2% alcohol content to the table and is flavored with Centennial, Amarillo and Simcoe hops. However, the green gold not only delivers the great taste, but also a massive 74 bitter units. This massive bitterness is accompanied by tangy citrus notes, spicy herbal notes, pine resin and a fruity sweetness, but is undoubtedly the focus.
Fennario is the right choice for those who can’t get enough of delicious hops and have already accustomed their taste buds to the crisp bitterness of modern IPAs. Enjoy it, hopheads!
