With their tasteful symbiosis of tradition and modernity, the brewers of the Austrian brewery Hofstetten prove that they master not only real classics but also innovative and contemporary beer styles. The Mühlviertler Bio Pale Ale complements the down-to-earth range of traditional beers with topicality, taste and a whole lot of hops. In contrast to most beers of this type, the Pale Ale from Hofstetten is not brewed with hop varieties from America. The fine Cascade hops are grown just outside Hofstetten in the Mühlviertel. The brewery’s partners work under the strict guidelines of controlled organic farming and with sustainable, environmentally friendly concepts.
These noble hops are then processed into organic pale ale in a gentle process. The beer is dry hopped in order to elicit even the most subtle of flavor nuances from the regional hops. At the end there is a heavily clouded beer in a warm golden grain yellow with a white foam crown and an aroma that entices you to drink with notes of green hops and sparkling citrus fruit. The taste follows the olfactory first impression and inspires with a refreshing character and a skilful balance of freshly harvested umbels, juicy citrus fruit and harmonious bitterness.
