In higher mathematics, a tesseract is the four-dimensional equivalent of a cube. The geometric shape does not consist of six square surfaces but of eight and is also called a tetracube. The formulas and numbers behind the Tesseract are many times beyond our mathematical training, so we prefer to present you something that we are more familiar with.
There is also a Tesseract that does not come from mathematics but from the pen of the Gamma Brewery. Their beery interpretation of the complicated cube is a succulent India Pale Ale and the only number that matters here is the 6.7% ABV. The naturally cloudy creation is brewed with the fine Cascade and Belma hop varieties and has the Tesseract on the label, but otherwise has little in common with it.
Gamma’s IPA cuts a fine figure in the glass with its heavily clouded peach gold. A dense, ivory crown perches atop the opaque body and is enticingly scented. The first drink is wonderfully juicy and washes over the palate with a fruity tide that is juicy, refreshing, sweet and summery at the same time. A harmonious bitterness underscores the fruity activity and gives the beer contrast and structure.
