紅赤 -Beniaka-
Food truck festivals are springing up like mushrooms. You can now discover different culinary delicacies and innovations every weekend in big cities. One of the most popular specialties that can almost certainly be found in every food court are sweet potato fries. Anyone who asks for regular fries will be looked at strangely and will probably have to search in vain. Sweet potato fries have long since replaced their obsolete colleagues.
The Japanese brewery COEDO predicted this trend back in the 90s. Since then, the resourceful brewers have been brewing a lager with sweet potatoes! The idea arose from a very modern idea: food rescue. The concept, which today has so many followers that it is almost a movement, was previously largely unknown. Even back then, the avant-gardists at COEDO thought it would be a shame if misshapen sweet potatoes ended up in the trash instead of behind the counter. So they quickly created a creation that included sweet potatoes that were not suitable for sale. To this day, her Beniaka remains an all-time favorite and box office hit.
No wonder, as the copper-red amber enchants us with its incredibly soft caramel and toffee notes. The sweet potato cannot be denied in terms of taste and contributes an earthy sweetness that goes wonderfully with the roasted malt and the delicate hop tones.
Beniaka is a wonderfully round beer creation that we like even better than its fries equivalent!
