When we hear the words Hazy Morning, we immediately think of foggy Sundays spent in bed with hot coffee and the Sunday newspaper or a good book. Fog outside, coziness inside!
In reality, Hazy Morning is even better: it's an American pale ale from Browar Pinta. The recipe for the light, flaky beer comes from the two hop magicians Paweł Masłowski and Ziemowit Fałat. With a whole lot of wheat malt and oat flakes, the two have created an incredibly creamy, velvety beer that is also heavenly hoppy thanks to double dry hopping with the American and Australian aroma hops Columbus, Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy and Falconer's Flight. Light, creamy, smooth and wonderfully fruity - what more could you want?
As expected, Hazy Morning presents itself beautifully cloudy in the glass. The amber-colored beer forms a white head that quickly evaporates, leaving room for the wonderful scent that rises from it. A fresh hint of citrus mixes with tropical mango, melon and grapefruit on the nose. Promising! The initial taste reveals a fresh fruit experience: the hop varieties used show off all facets of their fruity repertoire. The oat flakes ensure an extremely soft mouthfeel, and overall the APA is light and very drinkable. Despite the large amount of hops, Hazy Morning is hardly bitter.
Hazy Morning is a light, flaky APA that we particularly like with freshly baked cheesecake!
