Thought constructs and reflections on a world after Covid are currently dominating the conversation, but we are more interested in a world after Citra: With their single hop West Coast IPA World After Citra, the Polish brewery Pinta dares to take an optimistic look at the future and calms it down from the gloomy one Forecast-triggered malaise and the onset of panic with heavenly flavor and soul-flattering texture.
The Citra hop variety is one of the most popular raw materials in the craft beer industry and is responsible for a large number of intensely aromatic creations. The pronounced citrus character of the hops brings refreshing notes of grapefruit, lime, lemon and tropical fruit into play, while also delivering a dry, crisp bitterness. The brewers of Pinta are crazy about the diverse hop variety and have therefore chosen it as the first stop on their journey of discovery through the world of classic hops.
World After Citra presents itself in a warm quince yellow in the glass and is adorned with a firm crown of lightly tinted, dense-pored foam. The delicately cloudy beer smells of blooming summer meadows, ripe stone fruits and a hint of freshly squeezed lemon. The taste follows this olfactory feast and delights with notes of spicy hay and floral hops. Citrus fruits, mango, lychee and verbena ensure freshness and a summer feeling. A pleasant and subtly coordinated bitterness accompanies the play of aromas and gives the beer structure and contrast.
