After Harassment by Stout was a great success, the brewers of the Estonian brewery Lehe came up with another beer that harassed the beer drinker with its dangerously tasty character and a very seductive flavor composition.
Harassment by Barley Wine is an intense masterpiece with a powerful 13.0% alcohol content and a powerful bitterness that is not for the faint of heart. The Barley Wine flows into the glass in a warm chestnut tone and is crowned with a good amount of slightly tinted foam. From the creamy, fine-pored crown, an irresistible bouquet of soft caramel notes and dark fruitiness rises into the nose and tempts you to take the first sip. This reveals a voluminous body with a velvety mouthfeel. The initial taste is sweet and tastes like sugary toffee, raisins and oven-fresh brioche. After a short time, this malty base is joined by a hint of hops, which brings notes of tropical fruits and tangy citrus fruit with it. A powerful bitterness runs like a red thread from the first to the last sip, the finish is particularly intense. The taste of the finale is reminiscent of Irish coffee: creamy, roasted aromatic and warming, it stays on the tongue for a long time and makes you want to go straight to the next bottle.
Harassment by Barley Wine is a complex, multi-layered beer that goes wonderfully with desserts and dishes with lamb or game.
