The Indian brewery Kingfisher is making a name for itself by organizing numerous events and festivals, and their beer is also quite impressive - and tasty. The most famous beer from Kingfisher is the Premium Lager. It is a classic in the brewery's range and one of the first beers they released.
The fine lager flows into the glass in a clear, pale gold tone and forms a small, white head of foam that creates a nice contrast to the golden beer. A gentle carbonic acid sends small pearls through the beer and transports a tempting scent into the daylight. A delicious malt scent of freshly baked bread and roasted grains mixes in the nose with a hop aroma that is reminiscent of freshly mown grass. The initial taste reveals a light-footed beer with malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Soft malt caresses the palate and brings with it fine aromas of oven-fresh bread and creamy caramel. The hops bring a green freshness to the beer and also give it a crisp bitterness that elegantly offsets the malt sweetness. The finish is hoppy, really bitter and tastes of grass and herbs.
Kingfishers Premium Lager is the perfect summer beer: light, tangy and drinkable. It goes perfectly with grilled foods, light Mediterranean dishes and chilled watermelon.
