Florida is a place on the Gulf of Mexico. Most parts of the state have a tropical climate and warm temperatures all year round. The flora is accordingly lush and there are mangrove forests, coral reefs and beautiful beaches.
Like all breweries, the Florida Brewery also wants to adapt its beer specialties to the needs of its customers. With the average temperatures in their home country, which are between 15 degrees in January and 27 degrees in July and August, this means lighter, drinkable beers. When the thermometer rises and the humidity rises, you don’t want heavy, bulky beers with high malt content and intense, complex aromas. Instead, they resort to variants that contain less alcohol and are generally lean and mild. The Polar Pilsener from the Florida Brewery was designed for warmer climates and impresses with tropical hints, high drinkability and a feather-light body.
