The dead rabbit was previously the star of Joseph Beuys’ art, tool for fortune telling or your Sunday roast, now it is also the namesake of a fabulously delicious cold-hopped double IPA in West Coast style.
The Budapest brewery Monyo has set itself the goal of enriching the Hungarian beer market with tasty, delicately balanced and artisanal beers and achieves this goal day after day. In their almost 5 years of brewing history, the bar owner and brewer have created an unbelievable variety of the finest beers. Dead Rabbit is one of them and inspires with a powerful 9.1% alcohol content and a hoppy character. In order to get as close as possible to the West Coast IPA, the two have chosen their favorite American aroma hops and packed as much of them as possible into their beer. Citra, Centennial, Amarillo and Warrior give the beer the classic aroma of a good India Pale Ales: Tropical fruits meet a soft malt base, a touch of pine resin adds spice and the strong bitterness rounds off the taste experience.
Dead Rabbit flows into the glass in shimmering copper amber and presents a juicy abundance of ripe tropical fruits in fragrance and taste. Mango, passion fruit and grapefruit combine with resinous notes, the aroma of oven-fresh biscuits and a crunchy bitterness to create an irresistibly fresh, round IPA.
