As soon as Halloween is over and the last pumpkin on the doorstep has molded away, the Christmas spirit breaks out. Christmas music has been playing in the supermarket for weeks and the shelves are full of gingerbread, speculoos and Advent calendars, but at the beginning of November we'll be ready. The temperatures and the weather are becoming more wintry, white flakes dance from the sky every now and then and the early darkness creates a cozy atmosphere at home. We buy the first gifts, bake Stollen with marzipan and tons of butter, fill tin after tin with delicious pastries and decorate the apartment with festive, glittering fairy lights.
The breweries provide culinary Christmas joy in liquid form: especially in rural areas and in the more traditional breweries, there are festive beers that are served just in time for Advent and crown the Christmas season with full-bodied aromas and a little extra speed.
