The Ayinger private brewery from Aying, Bavaria, is a traditional brewery that has been family-owned for six generations. Traditional, down-to-earth beers have been brewed here since 1878 and are met with great enthusiasm in the beer scene. Bräuweisse, for example, has already earned numerous awards and is just one of the award-winning beers in the Ayinger brewery range.
The top-fermented, light wheat has an alcohol content of 5.1% and delights fans with its hoppy aromas and a wonderfully sparkling carbonation that is reminiscent of fine sparkling wines. Due to its refreshing qualities, Ayinger Bräuweisse is the perfect companion on hot summer days and tastes especially good after a sweaty hike or a full day at work.
But we also enjoy this excellent wheat in other ways.
The Bräuweisse flows into the glass in the sun-yellow gold tone of ready-to-harvest corn ears and forms a stately, white head of foam. The full-bodied aroma of ripe bananas that is so typical of wheat beers emerges from the fine-pored, piled-up fluff. The initial taste presents a voluminous body that still appears light and fresh thanks to the sparkling carbon dioxide. The Bräuweisse has a wonderfully velvety mouthfeel and tastes wonderfully spicy of banana, clove and grainy malt. A subtle hop bitterness complements the fresh, fruity taste. The finish has tangy citrus notes that will definitely leave you wanting more.
