The Gruthaus brewery has brought some very special accomplices on board for their Hellen Honigbock: Hans-Ludwig Dickert, Mike Gerdes, Andreas Müskens, Ralf Waanders and thousands and thousands of winged journeymen with them.
The Münster beekeepers and their bees have grazed all of Münster for the most fragrant flowers and created a tasty summer blossom honey, which was processed into a fine honey buck in the Gruthaus. The 8.0% strong buck is a harmonious masterpiece made from honey and hops. The beer was cold-hopped with the fruity Citra hop variety and offers a wonderful balance between sweet honey and fruity-fresh hops.
The honey buck from the Gruthaus brewery flows into the glass in a naturally cloudy gold tone and is reminiscent of creamy blossom honey in color. The fine beer also smells like this: a bouquet of honey and malt rises from the white, dense head of foam into the nose and tempts you to take the first sip. This presents a full-bodied beer with a strong stature and a honey-sweet, soft taste. Fine notes of sun-kissed grain, exotic fruits and flowery hops caress the palate. A gentle hop bitterness builds up in the middle part of the beer enjoyment and increases through to the finish. The finish is slightly bitter and with a great note of honey stays on the tongue for a long time.
The Honigbock from the Gruthaus is a finely balanced beer in which the delicious Münsteraner blossom honey clearly plays the main role.
