Grandfathers play a very special role in the dynamics of a family: while grandmothers usually pamper their grandchildren, feeding them cakes, sweets and chocolate and allowing them any nonsense, grandpas are a bit stricter on the outside. However, when nobody is looking, the grandfathers are just as compliant and doting on their grandchildren. We hear exciting stories from our grandfathers from days long past, they teach us tricks and practical skills such as carving, gardening or how to properly stuff a pipe and let us sip a beer from time to time, even if we might not have the first time were quite old enough for it.
David Hertl’s grandfather is also a good-hearted specimen. He settles the heated debates between brewer David and his father, who is a sommelier, he is always somewhere between kettle, bottling and lager and he is the biggest fan of all beer creations from the brewery Hertl. David Has brewed a beer in his honor, aptly titled Grandpa’s Darling .
The wonderful Franconian-style cellar beer cuts a particularly good figure when you drink it from the specially designed and designed glass mug. The jug is available in 0.33l and with a capacity of 0.5l .
Cheers to our grandfathers!
