The Kuchlbauer brewery is a traditional brewery with body and soul. The finest wheat beer has been brewed in the Abenberger brewery for nine generations. The craft of brewing is just as important at Kuchlbauer as the handpicked, regional ingredients, the love of home and the production of excellent beers. Here they brew with passion!
A popular classic in the wide range of excellent wheat beers is the Kuchlbauer Weisse. The light wheat beer is naturally cloudy, down-to-earth and simply good. We prefer the Kuchlbauer Weisse with hearty home-style cooking: Cheese spaetzle with mountain cheese and caramelized onions or snack go well with the white sausage, as do the white sausage with sweet mustard and pretzels. If you want to try the wheat in an unusual combination, we recommend a buttery seafood risotto with spicy Parmesan.
The Kuchlbauer Weisse flows into the glass in a naturally cloudy, sunny yellow and is adorned with a large amount of snow-white foam. An unusually fresh scent rises into the nose and tempts with notes of creamy banana, soft apricot, freshly baked bread and tangy citrus fruits. The initial taste presents a light-footed body with gentle carbon dioxide and a full-bodied mouthfeel. Soft aromas of biscuits, banana, subtle caramel, ripe apricots and sweet malt caress the palate. The finish is short and crisp and so tasty that it is better to have a second bottle ready.
