Not all shandy are the same, as anyone who has ever taken a generous sip and tasted a sticky-sweet, maybe even artificial-tasting lemonade instead of a sparkling refreshment with a bitter beer note knows. The shandy is treated rather neglected by many brewers and for some it doesn’t really count as a beer. An artfully seasoned shandy is a real specialty and is able to satisfactorily quench your thirst even on the hottest of days. We are not among the cyclists who despises them and have a few extremely successful examples in our range.
The Natur Radler from Lauterbacher, for example. The naturally cloudy mixed beer drink is made with tasty full beer and a multi-faceted lemonade. In addition to lemon juice from concentrate, the lemonade also contains orange and apple juice and the fine aroma of exotic lemon grass. At the end there is a drink that tastes of sun-kissed citrus fruit, juicy fruit and freshly grated lemon zest and harmonises perfectly with the full-bodied spiciness and tartness of the full beer.
The lemon runs like a golden thread through the pleasure of beer and is reflected in the colour, smell and taste of the beer. The delicate yellow thirst quencher smells of lemon, orange and malt, the aroma follows on foot. A subtle bitterness completes the shandy.
Beer (water, barley malt, hops, yeast), soft drink with citrus flavor (water, sugar, lemon juice from lemon juice concentrate (2.4%), orange juice from orange juice concentrate, apple juice from apple juice concentrate, carbon dioxide, concentrated lemon extract, natural flavor, stabilizer, locust bean gum extract )
