The Orca Brau team from Nuremberg has a clear position when it comes to American-style India Pale Ales. Their motto “West coast best coast” places the Franconian brewers on the side of the hop-intensive West Coast IPAs. While the manufacturers of the East Coast IPA put a little more emphasis on a harmonious balance between hops and malt, the brewers on the opposite side of the United States make no secret of their enthusiasm for hops, hops and even more hops.
Felix vom Endt and his brewers are first class Hopheads and have already lived out their passion for green gold in a number of the finest West Coast IPAs. Now another hoppy delicacy follows, which was created in collaboration with Orcas friends from Craftbeer Corner Coeln. Grapefruit Express is a powerful India Pale Ale with a whopping 7.5% alcohol and an extra serving of fresh grapefruit peel. The hop bomb is flavored with the varieties Columbus, Amarillo, Cascade and Centennial and tastes so intensely of hops that it makes the hearts of all hop freaks beat faster.
Grapefruit Express is a hoppy symphony with fruity acidity and tartness, diverse citrus notes, a wonderfully refreshing character, light-footed malt profile and the most intense aromas. A feast for the senses and a firework of huge hop notes.
