Women are still a rarity in the beer industry and therefore still have to assert and establish themselves. In the meantime, the brewers out there are no longer alone in this project: The Pink Boots Society is an association that advocates for women in the fermented alcoholic beverage industry, promotes young talents, stands by their side and wants to inspire women to learn the craft of brewing . The team of committed women operates worldwide and has built a network that supports, imparts knowledge, educates and educates, is a role model and organizes events where brewers can meet and exchange ideas.
The Nuremberg Orca Brau is a fan of this organization and supports the admirable ladies with their Dry Hopped Sour Ale Nothing Without You. Year after year, the hop trader Yakima Chief publishes a special hop mix that has been put together by brewers all over the world. This year the mix includes Cashmere, Athanum, Citra, Loral and Sabro. Orca Brau designed a beer out of it: Nothing Without You is a fruity sour beer that scores with intense fruit notes, playful flowery, elegant lightness and the exotic notes of lemon, lime and coconut.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Pink Boots Society and support brewers around the world.
