May we introduce you to Francesco? In its first life, Francesco was a wonderfully soft sourdough bread made by the skilled hands of the Feihl bakers. The main ingredient is wheat flour, but there is much more to Francesco: the bread with the crispy crust contains rye flour, flavorful sourdough and the finest olive oil. The down-to-earth country bread is ideal for preparing Palatine-style bruschetta and tastes good with fried or boiled sausages, sausage salad, sauerkraut and mustard. Because, despite the delicious taste, not all loaves are always sold, the bakery has brought in rescuers with a mash paddle and brewing pan. The Orca Brau from Nuremberg, not far from Neumarkt, rushes to the rescue and transports Francesco into his next life as a fine brew.

In order to save the baked goods from the bin, the brewers replace part of the malt with it. The bread gives the beer a spicy note and ensures the velvety-soft, non-slip mouthfeel. Francesco tastes fabulously fresh, has a good yeast flavor and delivers a successful composition of ripe banana and warm cloves that goes well with the bread aromas. The hearty brew is ideal for a snack and, thanks to the gentle 4.5% alcohol, a light-footed pleasure.
