The Amalfi Coast is known for its picturesque towns, breathtaking scenery and crystal clear waters. It’s no secret that the best tropical fruits in Europe come from this region: cooks, bakers and confectioners love Amalfi lemons because they are not only larger, but also more aromatic than other varieties. The unusually thick peel can be eaten entirely and the otherwise very bitter white layer also tastes great. The southern Italian version is low in acid and is used as a base for limoncello, desserts, pastries or salads.

This is what happened at Orca. The Nuremberg brewery teamed up with their friends at NaPizza and created a tangy pale ale that showcases the Amalfi lemon in all its glory. Freshly grated zest and citrus fruit juice give the drinkable brew a refreshing acidity that goes wonderfully with the florality of the hops and the gentle spiciness of the light malt. An unmistakable lemon note runs like a golden thread through the beer enjoyment and spreads Italian flair from the first sniff to the last sip.
