In Italy, people know how to enjoy themselves and know exactly how to create good times for themselves and their loved ones, or “tiempi belli” in Italian. You can start the day comfortably in the café. You can meet friends over a cup of cappuccino and a filled croissant and have time to read a few lines of the daily newspaper. You work until midday, then reward yourself with a decadent meal, accompanied by the occasional glass of wine - depending on how busy the rest of the day looks. The extended lunchtime rest ends with an espresso before we call it a day at around six. Aperitivo with small appetizers is available in every bar. In the evening the meal really starts: antipasti start the enjoyment, pasta dishes or a soup follow, a main course with meat or fish is the highlight and a dessert rounds off the meal. Of course, not every day in Italy looks exactly like this, but in our imagination, our neighbors on the Mediterranean regularly have such a good time.
If you’re also in the mood for good times, the Calabrian IPA Tiempi Belli from Orca is a good choice: The light India Pale Ale is brewed with the hops Citra and Mandarina Bavaria and refined in the fermentation tank with the freshly grated bergamot peel. Citrus-fruity and wonderfully fresh!
