Chocolate with mint is a combination that divides people’s opinions. Some love the cool kick of freshness in the sweet melt, others think that the herb has no place in their chocolate. We belong to the first camp and are enthusiastic fans of the well-known British confectionery in the little black envelopes. We won’t say no to hot chocolate with a touch of mint syrup. There is even a subspecies of peppermint called chocolate mint. The culinary herb is said to have a chocolaty scent and can be used to brew fine tea, refine cocktails or add a minty touch to a chocolate milkshake.
Chocolate mint can also be found in the Orca Brau garden and inspired the team to create an adorable creation. In their Chocolate Mint Milk Stout Pssst…! There is a whole bunch of it that runs like a bright green thread through the entire enjoyment of beer, both in olfactory and culinary form. To round it off, the delicacy was matured in a bourbon barrel for three months.
The beer-like dessert presents itself in an opaque mahogany brown with ruby red highlights and a generous crown of creamy, nut-colored foam. A tempting bouquet of fresh mint, delicately melting chocolate and spicy bourbon forms the scent and taste.
Mint fans, this beer is for you!
