We humans have an insatiable desire for new things. We are bored with the things we have and thirst for exposure to new stimuli, new situations, new people, new places and new things. Although we value security and stability, many of us are attracted to the new.
The Orca Brau from Nuremberg is only too happy to serve this need: at regular intervals the Franconian team comes up with new delicacies for their beer-thirsty audience. The creations include countless new, innovative brews, but Felix and his gang behind the kettles also like to play a classic. One of these evergreens is the IPA. The veteran of British brewing was brought out of obscurity as part of the craft beer movement and has enjoyed a certain amount of hype ever since. It is the flagship of modern brewing and should not be missing from any product range. So nothing new, but still pretty cool.
That's exactly what Orca Brau thought and gave their brand new Double IPA exactly this name. Nothing New But Still Cool is a cleanly executed India Pale Ale that conjures up an explosion of juicy passion fruit notes on the tongue thanks to the Citra hop variety. A whopping 8.0% alcohol content gives the brew a lot of momentum, while a duo of barley and wheat malt ensures a stable base.
