Like everyone else, brewers have a favorite beer. A special specimen that meets all their criteria, that is wonderfully smooth and aromatic, that challenges the taste buds and surprises and delights even the professional palate. At St. Feuillien, this beer is the Grand Cru. We can't speak for all members of the team, but we're pretty sure the noble sap is one of everyone's favourites.
Grand Cru is a term that characterizes the special quality of wine and spirits, but also of cheese, chocolate and coffee. First-class products in these categories can be called Grand Crus, but there are no rules on this for beer. In Belgium, however, the term is not used lightly and is only given when a brew is of first-class quality and extremely tasteful. When a beer bears this name, one can be sure that it is delicious.
St. Feuilliens Grand Cru is a heavenly creation that tastes even better when drunk from the right glass. The glass, specially designed for this beer, stands on a stable base and balances the slender flute on a short, strong handle. The thin-walled glass is finished with a gold rim, the brewery's logo and the words "Grand Cru".
