After the beer industry used all male clichés to advertise its products for decades, the guys from Oedipus from Amsterdam want to set an example and say "Beer is for everyone".
In a humorous commercial they parody the male-oriented campaigns of many breweries and leave no prejudice left out: men sitting in front of the television in harmony, hissing a beer and watching football, men who after hard work with dangerous, loud and heavy ones Machines shed a lot of sweat and refresh themselves with a cold beer, men who stand at the grill with their buddies and a beer and prepare thick steaks, men who prefer to devote themselves to a bottle of beer instead of their feelings, men screaming through the forest running and men pouring their beer into a glass with theatrical drama, drinking to be man and making masculine noises of enjoyment. If the Oedipus team has their way, that is over now. Everyone likes beer and should therefore also be geared towards people of all genders.
The beer for this manifesto is Mannenliefde, a Belgian season that has a very specific target group: everyone! The award-winning beer specialty is brewed with lemongrass, Szechuan pepper and Sorachi hops and is said to encourage more diversity in the beer world with its fine freshness, peppery sharpness and exotic coconut notes.
