In Bavaria, beer is traditionally a serious matter. The barley juice is produced and consumed with the typical German precision, correctness and discipline. When it comes to our favorite drink, we don't mess around.
Things are completely different at the Oedipus brewery in Amsterdam. The Dutch brewery's creations can be recognized from afar by their brightly colored labels: bright colors, funky fonts, wild patterns and titles that would make the classic beer connoisseur fall over. Oedipus has a subtly naughty sense of humor and loves to embarrass customers with names like Strip , Polyamory or Swingers . Their glassware, which goes with the craft beers, fits in wonderfully with the concept and comes in equally cheerful colors and patterns.
Our favorite is definitely the tasting glass: the bulbous Belgian-style goblet stands on a small, round base that is connected to the voluminous body via a strong stem. There is a polka dot pattern around the middle, reminiscent of Murano glass. The brewery's logo is placed in the middle in a beautiful sky blue. Craft beer tastes twice as good with this colorful glass - and you can lure the more conservative among your beer-loving friends out of their shell!
