For more than 150 years, the Canadian brewery Moosehead has provided its compatriots with the finest, craft beer. This makes Moosehead not only a real institution, but also Canada’s oldest privately owned brewery. The range consisted of American classics for the longest time. In the course of the last few decades, however, a fresher breeze has blown in the brewhouse and brought with it a number of innovations: modern beer styles and more experimental variants have made their appearance. The latter are created in the so-called Small Batch Series – the newest addition to the range. The beers in this series are seasonal specialities, unusual ideas and special brews that are produced in small quantities and with hand-picked raw materials.
At this point we would like to introduce you to a seductive espresso stout that also belongs to the Small Batch Series. The deep black stout delivers all the benefits of a freshly brewed espresso and combines them with creamy sweetness, dark roasted malt and delicate bitterness.
The mahogany-colored beer is crowned with a hazelnut-brown head of foam and smells of coffee beans and chocolate. The initial sip continues the olfactory first impression with powerful aromas and ensnares the palate with fine melted chocolate, toffee, roasted malt and strong notes of coffee. Moosehead’s Espresso Stout combines creamy sweetness, a dry character and a warming 5.9% alcohol content for a sensual pleasure.
