You can get stuck in many things: in the middle, in the mud, in a crevice, between the balustrades of a railing, driving in a particularly narrow Italian lane, in a traffic jam, in a tight spot or with your head in the soup bowl. We’d much rather be stuck in fudge, though.
The beer, called Stuck in the Fudge, comes from the Spanish brewery Naparbier and was made in collaboration with the brewers at Northern Monk. Flavored with salted caramel and cocoa, Imperial Pastry Stout is a dessert in beer form. We would love to be in this every day!
The sensual beer specialty flows into the glass in the darkest shade of mahogany and wears a stately crown of hazelnut-brown foam on its head. An irresistible scent of strongly roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate and caramel rises from the creamy, fine-pored splendor. The initial sip follows the olfactory first impression: velvety soft and wonderfully sweet, notes of creamy chocolate cake, roasted nuts, spicy vanilla, fine cocoa and subtle liquorice caress the tongue. A dominant taste of salty caramel harmoniously rounds off the beer enjoyment, while the full 11.0% alcohol content can only be identified by the pleasant warmth that slowly spreads through body and soul.
