As the name Hop Collection suggests, the latest creations from the Catalan brewery Espiga are all about hops. Since the Bavarian Purity Law put an end to wild experimentation with ingredients in 1516, beer generally no longer triggers hallucinations and hops are an integral part of every brew. If you want to expand your consciousness today, you either have to drink a lot of beer or consume pure henbane, which used to provide bright colors when drinking beer. However, we strongly advise against this; a cold beer is definitely preferable!
Espiga’s Pale Ale Mosaic from the Hop Collection also falls under the Purity Law and, instead of hallucinations, has an explosion of fruity-floral aromas in its luggage. The light beer flows into the glass golden and slightly cloudy and exudes intense scents of glucose and floral hops from the beautiful, medium-pored foam head. The slim body boasts fresh fruit flavors ranging from orange and mango to lemon peel and passion fruit. The fruity bouquet is accompanied by a delicious yeast note that wonderfully complements the floral hops. A lively carbonization and a pleasantly mild bitterness make the Mosaic a true beer pleasure.
The Mosaic hop is a fairly young hop variety that was only developed in 2012. The aroma hops offer a wide range of flavors that have both floral and fruity components. It is the perfect base for Espiga’s Mosaic and the root of the wonderful taste!
