Carson is a legend. There may be a variety of reasons for this, but we suspect it's due to the sheer amount of hops in this beer. The juicy West Coast IPA from Espiga was originally brewed with only two varieties, but Zeus and Amarillo are used again in the dry hopping process and are also supported by the Azacca and Cashmere hops. The full hop strength gives the beer its intense taste and provides a matching crisp bitterness that elegantly balances the large fruit aromas and the sweet malt abundance.
Carson the Legend presents itself in a copper-red shimmering gold tone and rounds off its attractive appearance with a small crown of dense-pored foam. A floral bouquet of fresh citrus fruits fills the air and tempts you to take the first sip with notes of lime and grapefruit. This reveals a veritable cornucopia of aromas: Lime and grapefruit bring freshness and sparkling acidity into play, while a tropical touch contributes notes of melon and mango. The hops also provide finely aromatic components reminiscent of golden pine resin and freshly cut herbs. A crisp, bitter finish crowns the beer enjoyment.
