Freedom to Roam # Tankers
After the Berliner Weisse was a beer specialty drunk exclusively in and around the capital for a long time, it is currently experiencing a bit of hype: More and more craft breweries are discovering the special beer style for themselves and are daring to try their very own interpretations of the refreshing sour beer. Is the Berliner Weisse the new India Pale Ale? We do not know it.
What we do know, however, is that the Berliner Weisse from Tanker is so delicious that it could well outperform the IPA. Luckily nobody has to decide that and we can enjoy both the Berliner Weisse Freedom to Roam and the IPA Three Hopped Hydra from Tanker. The choice is yours and we recommend both.
Freedom to Roam combines the typical powerful acidity of the Berliner Weisse with the summery aroma of freshly harvested blueberries and also increases the creaminess through the addition of oatmeal. The result is a Berliner Weisse in a dark blackberry tone with a delicate pink foam. The scent of aromatic berries rises from the airy crown and makes one think of raspberry hedges, forest blueberries and lush cherry trees. The taste continues the first impression and inspires with big berry tones, a hint of marzipan and the unmistakable acidity of a successful Berliner Weisse.
